Havana Rocks is an enigma.How talented artists from Sheffield, Halifax,and Huddersfield came together to form what is perhaps one of the most dynamic Heavy Rock outfits in the UK, defies explanation.Andy,Jay and Tony have all served their apprenticeships in this very exacting industry in other bands.They eventually moved forward in their ideals in forming Havana Rocks. Wearied of regurgitating timeless classic rock covers, the guys made the critical decision to write their own material. Six months down the line and 6 new songs later they hit London as a support band for already established outfits. The reviews from some well established critics was very positive indeed and that gave them the confidence to build on and consolidate the unmistakable music which is Havana Rocks..In 2009, Havana Rocks produced an EP. This was distributed to the music industry Europe wide and received many accolades and plays on radio stations both at home and on the Continent. One of the songs from that EP was used in the American Internet film production.Following the release of their album 'STAR' in 2010, the band ventured into Europe and played gigs in Belgium, Amsterdam, France and Italy. These tours proved so successful that return gigs are set for 2012 with the inclusion of Germany and Switzerland.What you get with Havana Rocks is a show reminiscent of the combined efforts of Queen, Motley Crew, AC/DC, Hendrix and many more of the top quality stadium rock bands of the 70's and 80's with a magical twist that is now a band of immense quality.Ladies and Gentlemen. 14 December 2011Right big news peoples!!!! A couple of weeks ago we announced that Karl Sturmer had joined us as our replacement drummer. Unfortunately Karl was unable to sign up to our exacting commitments and had to withdraw. We are delighted to announce that our new drummer is fellow Yorkshireman Ryan Hinchcliffe who wasted no time in getting up to speed and we look forward to introducing him to you in the near future.30 November 2011As promised for the past couple of weeks or so, Havana Rocks announce that our line up is now complete. Please join us in welcoming our new drummer ; Karl Sturmer.Karl is an exceptional musician and he will form the ultimate professional back beat so necessary to enable Havana Rocks to progress to it's rightful place at the forefront of this exacting industry.He is heavily endorsed by SPAUN drums and his credentials are impeccable. He has a thorough working knowledge of the music industry and we feel sure that he will help to open many doors to enable HR to achieve its true potential.Great to have you with us Karl.25 November 2011Good news friends. We are delighted to announce that today we have moved into our own private music studio. This is very good news for Havana Rocks as we can now concentrate on creating material at our own pace at times convenient to us.Keep watching this space fans as the announcement we promised will be here soon.13 November 2011HR continue to work hard on getting their new album together and are meeting several times a week in order to produce a collection of songs of exceptional quality.Unfortunately, it has come to our attention, that some individual is contacting venues previously booked by Havana Rocks and cancelling them. We can assure you that HR are fully committed to honouring all its' obligations and have taken the opportunity of informing all venues to confirm. This applies to both national and international gigs.We are thrilled to announce that the all time HR favourite 'Star' is featured on a video by stage performers the 'Lawless Girls'. Check them out at You Tube Lawless Girls.Havana Rocks continue to interview potential drummers and are delighted with the quality of the applicants. Expect an announcement shortly.7 November 2011Havana Rocks have parted company with drummer Rick Henry. We wish Rick well for the future and success in his future endeavours.In the meantime, as we search for Rick's replacement, we can assure you that all our commitments will be honoured. HR have created a new Facebook page headed 'Havanarocks official'. We look forward to your continued support.23 October 2011. HR have had to cancel their headlining gig at the Gasworks, Bradford on 5 November. Our sincere apologies to all our fans . Just a reminder that tickets are now on sale for our Royal Victoria gig, Halifax on Saturday 25 February 2012, when we will support Limehouse Lizzy. A really great night of fantastic music is assured. Tickets are available through our contact details on the HR website at a cost of £16:00. We continue to write new material for our second album which should be ready sometime in 2012. We promise you a new slant on an old theme: Rock. HR continue to maintain a strong position in the 'Sign me to Road Runner' charts and we thank all those bands and individuals who have left us very favourable feedback. Our Facebook friends have now reached 1030 and we really appreciate your continued support. Keep Rockin folks. 12 October 2011HR are pleased to announce that a great review was received from an American A&R organisation which placed us at No 6 in the worldwide Rock chart.We are proud to be associated with Loafdom for the Turtle charity having worlwide committment to poorly children.HR are on the lookout for models for our new T shirts.
